Rep. Olufemi Hakeem Gbajabiamila, Speaker of Nigeria’s 9th House of Representatives

Today, he takes a bow, 20 years after he came into the legislature; working and rising from floor member to Minority Whip, Minority Leader, Majority Leader and finally the Speaker in 2019.

He presides over the affairs of the House for the last time today.

But, the Lagos lawyer from Surulere Federal Constituency 1, is not done yet. He has another date with history, in a new role where he will resume fully on June 14 as Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu!
