The Clerk to the National Assembly, Sani Tambuwal, has sworn in Tajudeen Abbas as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Members-elect elected Abbas as Speaker of the 10th House at their inauguration in Abuja on Tuesday.
Abbas was the anointed candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
Next is adoption of the adoption of the APC candidate for Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, or election should an opponent is nominated.
