Diaspora group pledge support for new Chief of Defence Staff

Global Peace Movement International, UK an international Non Governmental organisation with members in over fifty counties in the world has assured the new Chief of Defence Staff, (CDS) General Christopher Gwabin Musa OFR of their continues support from the diaspora.

President General of the group, Dr. Mike Uyi in a press statement on Sunday said GPMI as an ambassador of the Nigerian Armed forces have encouraged Nigerians in diaspora to always support activities of our arm forces in Nigeria to enable them protect the integrity of the country in terms of security.

Uyi noted that GPMI have before now gone round countries in Europe to gather support for Nigerian Armed Forces in their fight against insurgency in Nigeria and are ready to start another round of support campaign to gather more Nigerians in Europe to support the current leadership of Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa.

“Nigerian Armed Forces have over the years shown professionalism in the discharge of their duties in the fight against insurgency, banditry and other criminal elements across the country and we believe that the new leadership of the Gen Christopher will continue from there to further improve the security of life and property in the country.

“We have confident in Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa that his leadership will further showcase Nigerian Military in the best and more professional in the discharge of their constitutional duties.

“The CDS is a professional soldier who have over the years gathered lots of experience in the military and have served in various capacity. It is our collective believe across Europe that he will not only deliver the country from all manner of criminality but will also reposition the Nigerian Armed Forces”.

The group pledge their total support and for the new CDS and promise that all Nigerians living in Europe will support Nigerian Military by talking to members of their families, community leaders and stakeholders in security affairs to support activities of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
