CSU: Certificate Tinubu submitted to INEC is fake – Varsity official

An official of Chicago State University has testified under oath that the replacement certificate of the school, which President Bola Tinubu submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is not a document of the university, meaning that it was a forgery.

The Registrar of the Chicago State University, Carl Wesberg, who testified under oath yesterday in a deposition following the ruling of Judge Nancy Maldonado on Monday in the petition of the records of Bola Tinubu at the CSU said that the logo of the school on the replacement certificate is not known to the institution.

The deposition process went on for more than 5 hours, and ended at about 9:30pm Nigerian time.

As at the time of filing this report, the process of perfecting the deposition document for onward transmission to Atiku’s lawyers in Nigeria was in top gear.

It will be recalled that one of the grounds upon which the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, is challenging the election of President Tinubu is on non-qualification based on forgery of his document

Meanwhile, the full transcript of the deposition is being anxiously awaited by Nigerians and non-Nigerians alike who have followed the case with keen interest.
