AMAC disburses N30M scholarship to 1,024 students

The Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the FCT, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has doled out scholarship worth of 30 Million Naira to 1,024 students across the 12 political wards in the council.

Maikalangu, who disclosed this in an interview with newsmen after the official flag-off ceremony for the disbursement of 2023 scholarship award to the students at Apo town hall, yestetday, said the scholarship is awarded to every tribe residing in AMAC, irrespective of their political affiliations.

He revealed that next year, some students would be sent to abroad to learn some skills, in order to move AMAC and Nigeria at large forward technologically, adding that his leadership would continue to provide the scholarship for the students every year.

He assured the beneficiaries that his administration would not hesitate to increase the financial assistances of the students next year, so as to encourage them in their studies.

The AMAC boss however, used the occasion to call on the investors residing in AMAC to contribute their quota towards the development and progress of the Council.
