Kogi Assembly Confirms 3 nominees for appointments

Kogi State House of Assembly has screened and cleared three nominees for appointment into the public service of Kogi State following their nomination by Governor Yahaya Bello.

The Assembly ratified their nomination on the floor of the House at Tuesday plenary after their screening where they fielded questions from the legislators at the Committee of the Whole House.

The nominees include Hon. Abdulraheem Ohiare to serve as Executive Chairman Kogi State Security Trust Fund and
Hon. Abdulrazaq Mohammed to appointed as Executive Chairman Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB)

Hon. Sule Saliu Enehe was also screened and found worthy for appointment as Executive Chairman, Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS).

The Speaker of the House, Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf in his ruling on resumption from the Committee of the Whole, approved their nomination following voice votes in their favour.

He charged the nominees to work hard and bring their wealth of experience to bear in their areas of assignments.

The nominees in their separate remarks after the screening promised to justify the confidence reposed in them and thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for finding them worthy to serve in their various capacities.

Earlier at Plenary, Hon. Yusuf Zakari Eneve (APC-Okene II) commended Governor Bello for the smooth conduct of the selection process of the new Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Mohammed Anaje.

The House thereafter congratulated the Royal Father and the people of Ebiraland for the development and wished the newly installed Ohinoyi, a successful reign on the throne.

The House also paid glowing tributes to members of the Nigerian Legion and the fallen heroes on the occasion of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day for their sacrifices in protecting the territorial integrity of the Nigeria.
