AFCON 2023 Quarter-Finals kicks-off on Friday 

Following the conclusion of the Round of 16, eight teams have sealed their place in the quarter-finals and will fight for a place in the final on 11th February at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

However, only one of them will lift the most prized trophy on the African continent.

Nigeria will open the quarter-final stage with Angola.

Angola reached the quarter-finals showdown after claiming a comfortable 3-0 against Namibia.

While, Super Eagles’ dashing striker Ademola Lookman scored both goals as Nigeria defeated old rivals Cameroon 2-0.

The tournament had so far recorded shock results and surprises with seven of the top 10-ranked teams, led by 2022 World Cup semi-finalists Morocco eliminated.
