ICAN honours Dr Wada, Nisa Medical Group founder

For his outstanding contribution to the development of the Institute, Dr Ibrahim Wada, founder/CEO of Nisa Medical Group and Talban of Jiwa District, has been honored with an award by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Nyanya-Maraba District.

Dr. Wada who is also a recipient of the National Award of the Officer of the Order of Niger (OON) conferred on him by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2006; for his ground-breaking works in the field of in vitro fertilization in medicine, received the ICAN award at merit House, Abuja on Saturday February 17, 2024.

The organisers lauded Dr Wada for his outstanding work in the field of medicine, management and also contributing to national developments.

Among his other academic achievements, Dr Wada is a Fellow of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) UK, Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) and has held Consultant posts at Bourn hall Clinic, Cambridge in (1992-1994).

Also awarded by ICAN was Tijjani Baba Haruna, Executive Director strategy & special project, Nisa Medical Group.

Mr Haruna was honoured and decorated as the patron of the fastest growing district society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria ICAN, Nyanya- Maraba.
