Eid-el-fitr: ACHUBA CONGRATULATES MUSLIM FAITHFULS, NIGERIANS, HARPS ON UNITY, PEACE, TOLERANCE

The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba has called for unity, peaceful coexistence and tolerance among all religious bodies and Nigerians in the spirit of Eid-el-fitr celebration.

Achuba, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester, Wednesday, congratulated muslims in the country on this year’s celebration of Eid-el-fitr, appealing to them to reflect on the lessons learned during Ramadan and strive to carry them forward in their daily lives.

The former Deputy Governor urged the Muslim faithfuls to express love and show kindness to the people around them, especially the less priviledged as they celebrate Holy Ramadan.

Achuba also used the occasion to call for prayers for a better Nigeria, stating that “we all have a crucial role to play in building a new Nigeria that generations would be proud of”.

While felicitating with Muslim faithfuls in Kogi State on the celebration of Eid-el-fitr, the former Deputy Governor enjoined them to embrace the spirit of unity and togetherness, urging them to always be law abiding as they celebrate the season.

He urged Kogites to reject division, prejudice, and discrimination, and stand together in solidarity against hatred, bigotry, and injustice.

The former Deputy Governor prayed God to lead, guide and protect all Muslim faithfuls and the entire Kogites as they celebrate Eid-el-fitr.
