Those affiliated to NNPP suspended Ganduje

The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Tuesday said those who suspended its National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje are not card carrying members of the party.

APC spokesman, Felix Morka said those who suspended Ganduje are affiliated to the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP.

In a statement, Morka said Ganduje’s suspension was part of Governor Abba Yusuf administration’s despicable programme of political persecution”.

He said: “The perpetrators of this criminal act are not card-carrying members of APC in the ward but are individuals affiliated with senior officials and representatives of the NNPP.

“This act procured by officials of the ruling NNPP in Kano is part of the despicable program of political persecution launched by the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf against Dr. Ganduje, a former Governor of Kano state.”

Morka said APC has petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun demanding an expedited investigation into Ganduje’s suspension and for the perpetrators and their sponsors to be dealt with.

On Monday, APC executives in Dawakin ward, Tofa LGA of Kano suspended Ganduje for alleged corruption.
