Awoniyi relishes Nottingham Forest survival

Super Eagles forward, Taiwo Awoniyi has celebrated Nottingham Forest’s Premier League survival following another difficult campaign.

The Reds have managed to maintain their top-flight status for the second consecutive season.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side confirmed their safety with a 2-1 win at Burnley on the final day.

Awoniyi took to the social media to express gratitude to God for a successful season.

“After all is said and done, I’m who I am because of you (God). See you next season @premierleague,” the forward wrote on Facebook.

“Another year to remember again. You deserve it, Nottingham Forest. Thanks for your support always and for helping us to push through. You truly the best, You RED,” he added.

Awoniyi registered six goals and three assists in 20 league appearances for Forest this season.
