Onuachu eager to stay at Trabzonspor after impressive loan stint

Nigeria forward, Paul Onuachu is not thinking about a return to Southampton after spending last season on loan at Turkish Super Lig outfit, Trabzonspor.

Onuachu joined Trabzonspor on loan last summer after a difficult six-month spell at Southampton.

The forward has enjoyed a successful spell in Turkey with 17 goals and four assists in 25 matches.

Southampton paid €18m to sign him from Belgian Pro League outfit, KRC Genk and want to sell him for €15m.

Trabzonspor’s proposal to extend the loan deal has already been rejected by the Saints.

According to Turkish news outlet, Kuzey Ekspres Onuachu is keen to stay in Turkey rather than return to England.
