The Kano State Government has announced that work on the playing surface of the Sani Abacha Stadium will commence soon.
The Sani Abacha Stadium is the home ground of Nigeria Premier Football League side, Kano Pillars.
The state government disclosed this in a press release signed by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Kwankwaso stated that the work would be carried out in phases.
He assured that the stadium would be ready before the commencement of the new NPFL season.
The new season will kick-off on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
