Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria Abuja Metropolitan Council Admits 87 New Members, a Priest

The Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria, Abuja Metro, has admitted 87 new members into its Order, charging them to use their Treasures, Time and Talents to propagate the gospel and defend the Catholic Church and Humanity.

The Admission ceremony conducted by the Worthy Metro Grand Knight Sir Johnson Jimoh, with the assistance of the Supreme Advocate Sir Steven Adahi, Metro Lady President, Lady Agnes Eneji, the Abuja Archdiocesan KSM Chaplain Rev Fr. Robert Achiaga, other Sub Council Chaplains, KSM/LSM Metropolitan Council Officers, Coordinating Grand Knights, Grand Knights, Sub Council Lady Presidents held at the Christ the King Catholic Church Kubwa, Abuja, was attended by invited dignitaries, friends and family members of the newly admitted Brothers and Sisters.

The Metropolitan Grand Knight, Sir Johnson Jimoh, congratulated the new members, urging them to embrace the aims, objectives and principles of the Knighthood which include charity, Spirituality, unity, and fraternity.


The activities was the first phase of the series of Admissions as the next one will take place in Makurdi on Saturday 24th August 2024 for Makurdi, Gboko and Otukpo Zones.

However, the Knights also used the occasion to call on the government to address the cries and yarnings of Nigerians, urging an end to bad governance and corruption.

Sir Jimoh emphasized that the Knights, as defenders of the faith, would continue to speak out against injustice and promote good governance.

“We are not just a social club, but a group of Catholic men committed to serving the Church, Humanity and society,” he said.

The Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria, established in 1953, is a Catholic Marian organization dedicated to promoting Christian values and serving humanity.

With the admission of the new members, the Abuja Metro chapter has reaffirmed its commitment to spreading the gospel and promoting Evangelization which was openly demonstrated by the Admission of Rev Fr. Steven Salami, a priest of Lokoja Diocese and the Parish priest of St. Joseph’s Parish Okene.

The MGK, Sir Jimoh in his vote of thanks, commended the 2024 admission planning committee chairman, Sir Christopher Achibogwu, the Worthy Grand Knight of the Central District Sub-Council and members of his team for a weldone job.

“Distinguished knights, ladies, and guests, I rise to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Grand Knights, officers, and members of KSM for their tireless efforts in welcoming our new brothers and sisters. Your dedication to our noble order is truly commendable.

“To our new members, we welcome you to the KSM family and congratulate you on taking this significant step. May your membership be a source of spiritual growth, camaraderie, and service to humanity”.

“We also thank our Chaplain, Priests and everyone involved in making this ceremony a success. May God bless and guide us all as we strive to serve Him and His people”.
