Governor Adeleke urges Osun indigenes to support Ajayi

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has called on indigenes of the state in Ondo State to vote for Agboola Ajayi, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, during the November 16 gubernatorial election.

His call is coming even as the indigenes of the state have declared support for the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Agboola.

Governor Adeleke made this call on Tuesday while in Ondo State to join the PDP candidate in the campaign tour to some local governments in the state.

While on the campaign trail, he was hosted by the Osun indigenes in Akure, the state capital.

Addressing the crowd, the governor charged the Osun indigenes to work for the victory of the PDP in the forthcoming poll.

He also asked them to go out on election day and vote for the PDP and stay with their votes.

He said, “All the things they didn’t do in 12 years, we have done in two years in Osun. The election has come, go and tell them that we are behind your ‘governor’ (Ajayi).

“We have brought the light to Ondo State. If we trust in God, everything is possible, Agboola Ajayi has the experience, up to the grassroots. He would repeat the wonders in Osun in Ondo. Let’s go back to our communities that Agboola is the next governor of this state.

“I’m glad to be here to support my brother, Agboola Ajayi, all the systems are working in Osun and we want to replicate it in Ondo here. PDP is the only progressive party. Go and vote, and stay with your votes.”

The PDP candidate, Agboola Ajayi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Osun for their unwavering support.

He pledged to bring the dividends of democracy to all residents of Ondo State if elected.

Remarking, the Chairman of Osun State Indigenes in Ondo State, Kehinde Ayinla, stated that their support for Ajayi is rooted in his deep understanding of the challenges faced by both the people and the state.

Ayinla assured the PDP candidate of a substantial turnout of votes from Osun indigenes spread across the 18 local government areas in Ondo.
