Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL) and Family Homes Funds Limited (FHFL) reaffirmed their shared commitment to delivering affordable housing to military personnel during a high-level courtesy visit held on 1 July 2025 at the FHFL headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting brought together the leadership of both organizations to strengthen an existing partnership and explore new areas of collaboration in pursuit of their mutual goal — expanding housing opportunities for Nigerian soldiers and their families.
Welcoming the delegation, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of FHFL, Mr. Abdul Mutallab Mukhtar, expressed appreciation for the visit and highlighted the importance of working with institutions that demonstrate order and effectiveness. “We are deliberate about our partnerships, and our decision to partner with you is because we have seen your work, your order, and organisation,” he stated.
Speaking during the meeting, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer PHDL, Major General Isaiah Allison, emphasized the critical need to provide dignified living spaces for military personnel who sacrifice daily for national security. “Soldiers give their best to defend the integrity of this nation,” he said. “It is important for them to have homes into which they can retire at the end of service to the nation.”
The two institutions have an ongoing collaboration focused on delivering affordable and quality housing for military personnel. Today’s meeting reaffirmed that commitment while identifying additional channels for cooperation, including joint ventures, financing frameworks, and estate infrastructure upgrades.
Both organizations agreed to establish a joint technical team to drive forward the partnership agenda and ensure timely execution of agreed initiatives.
The visit concluded on a note of mutual respect and renewed purpose, as both PHDL and FHFL continue to align efforts in delivering on the housing needs of Nigeria’s heroes, honouring their sacrifice with shelter, dignity, and sustainability.
