Caleb University VC to deliver inaugural lecture at Babcock varsity

 Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, the Vice-Chancellor of Caleb University, Imota, Lagos State, is set to deliver an inaugural lecture at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun.

Mr Olawale Adekoya, the Information and Media Officer of Caleb University, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos.

“Barely weeks after delivering a widely acclaimed Hooding Lecture at Covenant University, Prof. Asikhia is set to present his Inaugural Lecture at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, where he was appointed Professor of Business Administration and Marketing years ago.

“The programme, which marks Babcock University’s 57th Inaugural Lecture,with the theme, “It Is Time to Use Functional Businesses to Kill Poverty in Africa”, is scheduled for Thursday, December 4, 2025.

“The event will further reinforce Prof. Asikhia’s status as one of Nigeria’s foremost scholars and thought leaders in entrepreneurship, management, and innovation,” Adekoya said.

Adekoya said that Asikhia’s forthcoming inaugural lecture at Babcock University represents a rare academic milestone that embodies intellectual excellence, institutional leadership, and inter-university collaboration.

“His dual recognition by two of Nigeria’s leading private universities underscores his remarkable influence as a bridge between theory and practice, vision and transformation.

“Expectedly, his exploits have earned commendations from both the media and academia, having deepened the research culture, enhanced scholarly engagement, and strengthened Caleb University’s commitment to innovation-driven and values-based education,” Adekoya said.
