SpaceX founder and tech billionaire Elon Musk has once again set social media buzzing after jokingly declaring that he is not human, but an alien, during a high-profile appearance at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

Speaking on a panel that touched on global tariffs, the future of autonomous driving, and the growing influence of artificial intelligence and robotics, Musk responded humorously to a recurring question about extraterrestrial life.

“I’m often asked: Are there aliens among us?” Musk told the audience. “And I’ll say that I am one,” he added, drawing laughter from the crowd.

In a brief exchange, Larry Fink followed up by asking whether Musk was “from the future,” to which Musk replied, “They don’t believe me.” He went on to quip that if anyone would truly know whether aliens exist among humans, it would be him.

While clearly delivered in a lighthearted tone, the remarks quickly went viral, with fans and critics alike interpreting the comments as classic Musk humor—fueling his reputation as one of the most unconventional and provocative figures in global tech leadership.

The moment added levity to an otherwise serious discussion on the rapid pace of technological change and humanity’s readiness for an AI-driven future.
