El-Rufai Appears In Court For Alleged Money Laundering Trial In Kaduna

Former Kaduna governor, Nasir El Rufai appears before Federal High Court as ICPC files multiple charges including fraud abuse of office allegations.

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El Rufai, on Tuesday appeared at the Federal High Court in Kaduna for his alleged money laundering trial.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, had earlier announced that El Rufai would be arraigned before the Federal High Court in Kaduna on Tuesday, 24 March 2026.

According to the charge filed under suit number FHC KD 73 2026, the former governor is facing multiple counts linked to the alleged conversion and possession of public property as well as money laundering.

The charges also include allegations of abuse of office, fraud, intent to commit fraud, and conferring undue advantage, among other related offences.
