Hairdressing Record Breaker T-Jos Meets Aiyedatiwa in Abuja, Recalls Governor’s Prayer Before Victory

Guinness World Record holder for the longest hairdressing marathon, Joshua Aiyenuro — popularly known as T-Jos — was hosted by Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa over the weekend at the Ondo State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

During the meeting, Governor Aiyedatiwa commended T-Jos for his feat and promised to specially host him and his team in Ondo State after Easter.

Responding, T-Jos expressed deep gratitude to the governor for his financial and spiritual support. He recalled kneeling before Governor Aiyedatiwa, who prayed for him before his record attempt — a moment he said gave him strength to succeed.

“I am proud and I appreciate my Governor for all the support given to me and other youths in Ondo State,” Aiyenuro said, adding that he will continue to be a good ambassador of his state and Nigeria.

Also in attendance were T-Jos Signatures’ handlers, led by the President of the African Civil Society Forum (AFRISOF), Ambassador Blessing Akinlosotu, who hailed Governor Aiyedatiwa for consistently supporting Ondo youths. Akinlosotu noted that the governor stood by Aiyenuro throughout his Guinness World Record campaign, providing encouragement and backing at every stage.

The Nigerian President of Hairdressing and Beauticians was also part of Aiyenuro’s entourage during the meeting with the governor in Abuja, underscoring the significance of the visit to the country’s beauty industry and youth community.
