NASSI Convention to Drive Local Production, Export Growth

As part of efforts to boost Nigeria’s domestic growth through small businesses, the Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI) in collaboration with Zamkah technologies will engage small entrepreneurs with the view to prepare them to be able to transform businesses into global brands .

National President of the association chief Solomon Daniel Vongfa told journalists that the 35th national convention of NASSI slated for December 1, 2026 in Abuja is a deliberate platform to interact with entrepreneurs of small businesses , cross-fertilize ideas , find areas of collaboration such that will further and deepen the calls for stronger economy that will reduce over dependence on government .

The Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI) is a non-profit organization founded in 1978 to support and promote micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs) across Nigeria.

The association strives open up access to finance for entrepreneurs,
help members secure funding, loans, and grants through partnerships with institutions like the Bank of Industry.

Dr Vongfa said the convention and interaction will equally offer the entrepreneurs the opportunity to forge the right alliances that will unlock capacity building opportunities for staff through training programs, workshops, and business seminars.

“As a organisation with key function of advocating government policies that makes it easier to run a small business in Nigeria, the convention would explore possible avenues that will allow for business models that suits businesses and makes them competitive .”

According to him one of the key responsibility of NASSI is also to organize trade fairs and expos to promote local products.

He said the programs of NASSI aligns with government’s emphasis and desire to boost local products for both local and foreign consumption, “therefore NASSI has taken bold steps in this regards and we are determined to seeing that Nigeria remains not only the giant of Africa on paper but in reality and for us to truly merit it, we must double our efforts on domestic production ,quality of products and to also ensure that entrepreneurs have access to financing and are mentally equipped .”
