NDC Postpones Campaign Council Inauguration Over Peter Obi’s ‘Tight Schedule’

The NDC has postponed its National Campaign Council inauguration to October 26, citing Peter Obi’s “tight schedule” and overseas engagement.

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has postponed the unveiling and inauguration of its National Campaign Council by one week, citing the tight schedule of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

The inauguration, initially scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2026, will now take place on Monday, October 26, 2026.

In a statement, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, said the postponement was necessitated by Obi’s “very tight schedule” and an important engagement overseas.

The party apologised for any inconvenience caused by the change of date.

It also urged members and supporters to remain focused on the goal of securing victory for Obi and all NDC candidates in the forthcoming presidential and general elections.
