Ned Nwoko Warns Against False Reports About Regina Daniels, Appeals For Privacy

Senator Ned Nwoko warns of legal action against those spreading false reports about Regina Daniels as he appeals for public compassion and privacy.

Senator Ned Nwoko has appealed to the public to give Nollywood actress Regina Daniels space to recover, warning against the circulation of fabricated reports about her health and alleged death.

Nwoko made the appeal in a statement shared on his social media account on Monday, addressing Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators over what he described as harmful speculation surrounding her personal circumstances and health challenges.

He said the actress needed compassion, support and an opportunity to recover, particularly for the sake of her children, who he said were being well cared for.

“Regina has been through a lot, more than many people may realise, and right now, what she needs most is love, support and the opportunity to recover,” he wrote.

Nwoko also referred to a video Regina shared on her 25th birthday in October, which showed her in a wheelchair as she spoke about some of the health challenges she had been experiencing.

According to him, the video offered the public a glimpse into her condition, adding that her circumstances should not be used as an opportunity to judge or further distress her.

He said his concern for her well-being remained despite the difficulties between them, noting that it was the same concern that brought aspects of their private situation into the public domain.

The senator expressed particular concern over fabricated death announcements, misleading reports and other claims circulating on social media, saying the publications were causing Regina emotional distress.

“Regina sees many of these posts, and they are deeply distressing. They do nothing to support her recovery, rather, they add to the burden she is already carrying,” he said.

He also called on the actress’s supporters to discourage the spread of such content rather than amplify it online.

Nwoko further warned that he would not tolerate the deliberate circulation of false information about Regina’s death, health or personal circumstances.

“We are documenting these publications, and anyone found responsible will be held accountable through the appropriate legal channels,” he said.

He added that those using anonymous social media accounts to create misleading stories for clicks and engagement should immediately stop the practice.

Nwoko concluded by reiterating that Regina deserved the opportunity to recover without being subjected to further fabricated reports and public speculation.

He urged the public to respect Regina’s privacy and allow her the time and support needed to focus on her recovery, warning that continued speculation and fabricated reports would only worsen an already difficult situation.
