Drama as Deji Adeyanju rejects Tinubu’s trademark cap at birthday party

Human rights activist and outspoken government critic, Deji Adeyanju, has set the social media on frenzy after a video showed him declining a cap bearing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s insignia at a high-profile birthday party in Delta State.

The brief moment occurred during the celebration of a Delta-based billionaire over the weekend. Fashion entrepreneur Seyi Vodi, who was already wearing the cap, offered a similar one to Adeyanju while greeting him. The activist, however, politely refused the cap, prompting laughter among guests.

Seyi Vodi later shared the clip on social media, and it quickly spread across platforms, drawing mixed reactions from Nigerians. While some praised Adeyanju for standing by his political convictions, others described the moment as unnecessary and symbolic.

Adeyanju has consistently been a vocal critic of the Tinubu administration, often speaking out on governance, security, and economic issues.
