Remo Stars coach, Ogunmodede hails players after win against Enyimba

Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede praised his players following Wednesday’s hard-fought 1-0 win against Enyimba.

The Sky Blue Stars took the lead after 28 seconds through Samuel Anakwe.

It was a good reaction from the players who were thoroughly outplayed in the 3-0 defeat to Bendel Insurance in their previous game.

Remo Stars dominated the game and could have scored more goals but for their poor marksmanship.

Ogunmodede was satisfied the win and the performance of his players in the encounter.

“A good reaction from the lads and am so proud of the attitude they displayed in the game, as they responded well,” the young gaffer said in his post-match assessment of the game.

“To be honest, the entire team was bittered with itself after losing 3-0 to Bendel Insurance in Benin City. We know we didn’t deserve to lose in such a manner,” he added.

The Ikenne club will travel to Uyo for their next game against Akwa United on Sunday.
