Court strike out suit against CDHR executives, declares Obayuwana authentic lead

The High Court 3 sitting in Benin-City, Edo State, presided by Justice A.N Erhabor has struck out a suit brought before it by one Kehinde Taiga

The Court also declared former Edo State Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Osagie Obayuwana led Executive the “authentic executive” of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR in Nigeria.

The Court handed down the judgement in Suit No:B/798/21, DAILY POST can report.

The Court said the Suit brought before it by Kehinde Taiga, James Chibuzo Chikwendu, Violet Ekumankama, Gerald Kathy & Ayuba Musa is “incurably defective”.

In a statement, the Delta State Secretary of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, Comrade Israel Joe hailed the Court judgement.

He said, “By this judgment, anyone who parades himself outside the existing structure of Dr. Osagie (President) and Femi Falana (Chairman BOT SAN) has impersonated and should be arrested and prosecuted according to the extant laws of Nigeria.”

Joe urged Kehinde Taiga and his cohorts to initiate a peace deal with all stakeholders stressing that the common enemies are the oppressors.

It would be recalled that Kehinde Taiga and others had dragged the Dr. Osagie Obayuwana-led Executive to Court over an alleged tussle within the CDHR.

The Delta State Chairman of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, Comrade (Elder) A.P. Edariese in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent also hailed the Court judgement saying, “it lacked the locus standi”.

According to Edariese, the dustbin is the best place to trash the suit of the calibre of Taiga and his cohorts.
