Abia Warriors target maximum points against Rivers United

Abia Warriors head coach, Erasmus Onu is upbeat on the chances of his side against title holders Rivers United.

The Umuahia club will host Rivers United in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League fixture on Saturday.

Abia Warriors suffered a setback on Tuesday after they were knocked out of the Federation Cup by amateur club, Ahudiya FC.

Onu is, however, unperturbed with the defeat and is sure they will claim maximum points against the Pride of Benue.

“We look forward to finishing the first stanza on a winning note,” .

“We have put the defeat in the Federation Cup behind us and ready for the gane against Rivers United.”

Abia Warriors currently occupy fourth position on the Group B table.
