Okpanachi of Ojapata Ajodi family buried mother in Ejule

By Augustine Aminu

The remains of late Mrs. Mary Attaboh-Achimawo, mother to the Vice president, Integrity Club International, Abuja, Mr. Emmanuel Okpanachi Thomas was laid to rest on Thursday, at her home town, Ejule, in Ofu local government, Kogi State.

The resident pastor of United Evangelical Church, Ejule, Reverend Isaac Atama at the funeral sermon, said death was inevitable, adding that every mortal being would not escape it.

According to him, Christians should at all times be ready to meet the Creator by serving Him in truth and spirit.

“No matter the status of a human being, he or she must experience death at a point in time; from dust we came and surely shall go back to that dust one day.

“This is the high time for all and sundry to repent of their sins and come back to God.

Reverend Atama admonished people to behave well and utilise their time when alive to serve God.

He also urged Christians to be close to God and ensure they spend their eternity with Jesus Christ after death.

According to him, eternity is real and hell fire is also real, urging Christians to choose eternity, “where they will have everlasting life”.

The cleric stressed that humans have limited time to spend on earth, adding that, “there is time for everything on earth, a time to be born and time to die”.

While charging parents to take parenting business seriously, he advice children to take care of their aged parents.

The man of God appealed to the children, family and well wishers to emulate the life of Late Mrs. Mary Attaboh-Achimawo, who even towards the twilight of her earthly existence still managed to serve God.
