A British teenager, Woramet Taota, was discovered dead with head wounds in a forest in Thailand, with police searching for his missing girlfriend.
Taota, 16, went for a motorcycle ride with a girl named Yam, also 16, in Lampang province of the country on Saturday evening, but neither of them returned to their homes.
According to Dailymail on Monday, local police said they received a report on Sunday morning that Ben had been found dead in a grove, with injuries resembling blunt force.
Officers reported that the teenager’s phone and cash were missing from his shoulder bag, and suggested he might have been robbed.
Police said that the body has been taken to the hospital for an autopsy.
“We are currently tracking down individuals close to the victim, including his female companion. She is a key figure in this case since she is the last person to see him alive,” the police added.
The police, while noting that they are not excluding any possibilities, said the murder may have been motivated by a probable love affair, a personal issue, or a workplace disagreement.
