Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, who recently emerged as the Chairman, North Central Governors Forum, has led other governors from the zone to congratulate and declare support for Senator George Akume on his inauguration as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
According to Engineer Sule, governors from the North Central visited Senator Akume because he is the political leader of the zone.
“We believe and we feel as the governors we must come united from the North Central and continue to support our leader.
” We came to congratulate him first, to encourage him to do the best he can for the nation and for every one of us,” he told journalists in Abuja, on Thursday.
In a response, Senator George Akume appreciated the visit by the governors from his zone, saying he is delighted by the visit.
“When you see people that are very close to you coming around, then you know that the sky is the limit,” he said.
