Two Lesbian Sent to 12 Years imprisonment .

For offending the the anti same sex marriage law, a High Court in Delta state has sentenced a certain Laureta Uwague and her partner, Linda Osifo to 12 years in prison each.

The High Court in Agbor that delivered the judgement against the duo found them guilty of violating the state law upon their arrest and prosecution by the Nigeria Police on November 2, 2023
after investigation.

During investigations, Osifo had confessed to the crime that it was her first homosexual relationship while Uwague admitted she had previously been in a relationship with one Uche Oghor-Collins who was confirmed to be on the run.

It will be recalled that the culprits were arrested by some youths while having homosexual intercourse but escaped falling victims of the angry mob due to intervention.

They had already been beaten and stripped naked when the police arrived and rescued them from the scene.

The suspected lesbians were, however arraigned in a law court and consequently sentenced to 12 years in prison.

A source, who narrated what happened to our correspondent, said: “The story of the two being lesbians are everywhere”.
