Man Utd not in good position – Ten Hag on qualifying for Champions League

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has admitted the team will struggle to qualify for the Champions League.

United travel to Chelsea in Thursday’s late kick-off in sixth position.

Ten Hag will be without Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof for the Premier League clash.

Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia remain unavailable for selection too.

Ahead of the game, Ten Hag has said it would be difficult for United to finish in Champions League spots.

He said: “I have high standards and I would be disappointed if we didn’t qualify. I know it will be very difficult because we are not in a good position.

“But we want to win every game, that is the standard we have here among each other. We will keep going and keep believing in those standards.

“I know we are not in a good position. We have to catch up. Also I know we have had a lot of problems so I am a realistic man.”
