Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has said that his administration is presently performing the groundbreaking for several infrastructural projects, including a flyover and an underpass in Lafia the state capital.
Governor Sule disclosed this while presenting allocation letters of 312 housing units to benefitting civil servants under the owner-occupier scheme, at the Government House on Friday.
According to the Governor, his administration is embarking on additional projects following the improved federal revenue accruing to the state.
He emphasized that all the projects being undertaken are achievable.
“We want to thank President Ahmed Bola Tinubu that all the states, including Nasarawa State, are receiving improved revenue every month. With the improved revenue, if we are serious about work, all the projects are achievable,” he said.
Governor Sule explained that already, the construction of the flyover and underpass in Lafia has started with the groundbreaking on Thursday, aimed at giving the state capital a face-lift.
“We are going to build around the Emir’s Palace Roundabout an underpass. Today, because we are comfortable, we are not doing an underpass only, we are doing the underpass now at the junction of Total Filling Station and by the time we get to the roundabout, we are building a flyover,” he stated.
He added that the projects would not only beautify Lafia, but also upgrade the status of the city to that of a modern state capital.
