Muslims, Christians, Traditionalists offer prayers for ex-Oyo governor, Ladoja

Muslims, Christians and traditionalists across Oyo State have united to offer special prayers for the former governor of the state, Oba (Senator) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja.

According to reports, Ladoja who is the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland clocked 80 years today.

Our correspondent reports that clerics from the three major religions were at the Bodija Ibadan residence of the former governor and were joined by members of their religions to pray for the former governor.

The Christians were led by Reverend Dr. Olatinwo Fatoki and pastor Olusoji Adediji to pray for the former governor.

The Chief of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abubakar Abdulganiyy Agbotomokere led the Muslims to pray for the former governor.

Chief Ifalere Odegbemi Adegbola, Arabia/ Olu Isese of Ibadanland led the traditionalists to offer their own prayers.

The State Governor, Seyi Makinde, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, Oyo South, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, Oyo North former Deputy governor of the state, Rauf Olaniyan were all at the event.

Others at the prayers were family members, family heads, traditional rulers, traditional title holders and other important dignitaries.
