Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has hailed Cole Palmer following the Chelsea attacker’s phenomenal long-range pass in their 2-1 win against Newcastle United on Sunday.
Chelsea were the better side as the two sides faced each other at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Palmer pinged a 60-yard pass into the path of Pedro Neto and the latter then set up Nicolas Jackson with a low cross leading to the Blues’ first goal.
Carragher told Sky Sports “This pass over 60 yards… I mean, that’s one of the best passes I’ve seen, never mind this season, but in the Premier League.
“Taking two or three Newcastle players out and then just on a plate for Neto, and Jackson in the right place.”
Newcastle leveled through Alexander Isak in the 32nd minute going into half-time.
Palmer then scored in the 47th minute to help Chelsea seal all three points.
