In a stunning turn of events, a group of protesters, including minors, who were arrested and rough-handled by police during the recent End Bad Governance protests, returned to Kano in triumph.
The protesters, who were transported from Kano to Abuja in a police truck, were surprisingly flown back to Kano via a chartered airline,
Upon arrival, they received a heroic reception from Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and thousands of supporters, who hailed them as champions of democracy.
“This is a victory for the people,” said Governor Yusuf. “These brave individuals stood up against injustice and demanded change. We salute their courage.”
The protesters, who were initially detained and charged with various offenses, were released due to public outcry and mounting pressure on the authorities.
Their remarkable journey has sparked widespread celebration and renewed calls for reform.
