Tinubu Hosts Governors To Ramadan Iftar At Presidential Villa

Sani, Zulum, Yusuf, Abiodun, Uzodimma, others in attendance as Tinubu convenes governors, cabinet members for Ramadan Iftar at Presidential Villa.

President Bola Tinubu on Monday evening hosted state governors to a Ramadan Iftar dinner at the State House, Abuja, continuing his annual tradition of breaking fast with political leaders during the holy month.

The event, which began shortly after 6:30 p.m., marked the third consecutive year the President has convened governors for a symbolic fast-breaking at the Presidential Villa.

Governors sighted at the dinner included Uba Sani (Kaduna), Babagana Zulum (Borno), Abba Kabir Yusuf (Kano), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Agbu Kefas (Taraba), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Mohammed Bago (Niger), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Usman Ododo (Kogi), Ahmed Aliyu (Sokoto), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe) and Monday Okpebholo (Edo), among others.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and several cabinet members were also in attendance.

Iftar forms part of Tinubu’s annual Ramadan engagements, during which he hosts political office holders, senior government officials, traditional rulers and members of the diplomatic corps.
In previous editions, the President has used the occasion to canvass unity and deepen cooperation across party lines.
