SANGDID Foundation Transforms Lives with Week-Long Outreach Reaching Hundreds

The SANGDID Foundation has successfully concluded its “Week of Love” outreach programme, held from March 1 to March 7, 2026, reaching hundreds of vulnerable individuals and promoting community development.

The initiative, themed “Give to Gain,” was led by the foundation’s founder, Barrister (Mrs.) Ndidiamaka Akpaumontia, and focused on improving the well-being of widows, the elderly, and children through targeted humanitarian interventions.

In collaboration with churches and mosques, the programme cut across religious and social divides, fostering unity and inclusiveness. Beneficiaries received food items such as rice, beans, millet, sorghum, yams, onions, and garri to support their nutritional needs.

As part of the outreach, free medical services were provided at the TA Lagbaja Cantonment, where hundreds of residents underwent screenings for blood pressure, malaria, typhoid, and hepatitis.

The programme also featured a free eye clinic, during which beneficiaries received medications and corrective glasses to improve their vision and overall quality of life.

Speaking on the initiative, Akpaumontia said the programme was rooted in the belief that giving strengthens society. She noted that supporting vulnerable groups contributes to building a healthier, more stable, and united community.

According to her, acts of kindness have lasting impacts, emphasizing that “an open hand is never empty.”

The outreach programme highlighted the role of purposeful giving in driving societal transformation, with the foundation reaffirming its commitment to compassion, service, and sustainable community development.
