PSG Beat Bayern 5-4 In Nine-Goal Thriller To Take Semi-Final First-Leg Lead

PSG beat Bayern Munich 5-4 in Paris in a nine-goal Champions League semi-final first-leg clash, with Dembele and Kvaratskhelia each scoring a brace.

Paris Saint-Germain beat Bayern Munich 5-4 in a Champions League semi-final first leg in Paris. The match produced 9 goals, with both sides scoring at least 4 for the first time at this stage.

Harry Kane opened scoring in the 17th minute from the spot, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia responded with a long-range strike before Joao Neves headed PSG in front.

Michael Olise drew Bayern level in the 41st minute before Ousmane Dembele restored PSG’s lead from the spot in added time after VAR ruled handball against Alphonso Davies.

PSG extended the lead early in the second half with Kvaratskhelia scoring again in the 56th minute. Dembele added a fifth goal two minutes later to make it 5-2.

Bayern reduced the deficit through Dayot Upamecano in the 65th minute and Luis Diaz in the 68th minute after VAR overturned an offside decision.

Manuel Neuer did not make a save in the match.

PSG take a one-goal lead into the second leg in Germany next Wednesday.
