Governor Abba Yusuf pledges Kano’s full support for Tinubu in 2027, orders appointees to register as APC members.
Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has declared that the state is fully committed to delivering victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels in the 2027 general elections, saying Kano will lead the country in securing massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election.
The governor made the declaration during an interactive session with elected and appointed government officials held at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Yusuf said the APC administration in Kano had no apology for supporting President Tinubu.
“Kano State is fully committed to delivering victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels in the 2027 general elections,” the governor said.
He added: “Kano will lead the country in delivering massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.”
The governor stressed that President Tinubu’s re-election was a collective responsibility of all APC members and government officials.
“The APC administration in Kano has no apology for supporting President Tinubu. The President’s re-election is a collective responsibility of all party members and government officials,” he said.
Governor Yusuf directed all political appointees serving in his administration who had yet to register as members of the APC to do so immediately.
He said every elected and appointed government official must identify with the ruling party and actively participate in strengthening its structures ahead of the 2027 elections.

The governor reaffirmed that his administration remained committed to ensuring the APC records victory in the presidential, governorship, National Assembly, State Assembly and local government elections.
As part of efforts to motivate political office holders, Yusuf approved the allocation of plots of land to more than 300 political aides, including Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Senior Special Reporters, Special Reporters and Personal Assistants.
He also approved the payment of N100,000 to each of the beneficiaries.
Speaking at the meeting, Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ismail Falgore, said the APC owed no apology for promoting the achievements of President Tinubu in Kano.
“The APC owes no apology for marketing the achievements of President Tinubu in Kano,” Falgore said.
He added that constituency projects executed by members of the State Assembly, with the support of Governor Yusuf, had further strengthened the party’s acceptance across the state and positioned it for victory in the 2027 elections.
Also speaking, Kano APC Chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, declared that “the battle line has been drawn” with the Kwankwasiyya movement.
“The battle line has been drawn,” Doguwa said, expressing confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.
At the end of the meeting, elected and appointed government officials unanimously passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The officials also pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation and work collectively to secure the APC’s victory at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
