House Speaker Mike Johnson says he will send Congress-approved housing affordability bill to President Donald Trump on Monday for signing.
US House Speaker Mike Johnson has announced that legislation aimed at addressing housing affordability will be forwarded to President Donald Trump on Monday for his signature after securing approval from both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Johnson disclosed the development during an appearance on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, where he confirmed that the legislative process in Congress had been completed.
According to the House Speaker, the measure has already been passed by both chambers, leaving the president’s approval as the final step before it becomes law.
“The bill has cleared both chambers. I’ll send it to the president on Monday, and it will become law,” Johnson said during the interview.
The legislation is expected to be signed by Trump once it reaches his desk, formally enacting the housing affordability measure into US law.
