Governor Namadi set up committee to prove officials of Ramadan feeding

Jigawa State Government has constituted a six-member committee to investigate the activities of the Ramadan Feeding Programme in Babura Local Government.

The State Commissioner of Information Youth Support and Culture, Hon Sagir Musa, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of state executive council on Monday.

According to him, the council reviewed the interim report for the 1445AH/2024 Ramadan Feeding Programme, presented by the Honorable Commissioner for Special Duties.”

He explained that 6-member committee was constituted to investigate the activities of the Ramadan Feeding Programme in Babura Local Government Area.

“Head of Service (HOS) will serve as Chairman, Commissioner Special Duties – member ,Commissioner of Justice – member, Commissioner of Agriculture – member, Commissioner of Information – member and PPS to the Governor to serve as Secretary of the Committee.”

The committee, given two weeks to report back.

Earlier reported that, the Jigawa state Governor Umar Namadi has suspended the state commissioner of finance, Hon. Aminu Kanta over alleged misappropriation of Ramadan feeding funds.

Jigawa state government had approved total of N2,160,545,470 for the feeding programme during Ramadan.
